HEALING ATTITUDES
And we have loads of them...
Dr. JERRY JAMPOLSKY, the founder of ATTITUDINAL HEALING INTERATIONAL, in several of his books, stated that it is not other people or experiences outside ourselves that cause us to be upset, rather it is our thoughts, attitudes and judgements about them that cause us distress.
At Inner Safari we believe we all desire an experience of constant state of peace and happiness.
The challenge is, no matter how good situations might look from outside, we rarely get to experience a state of joy and contentment for long within our hearts and our being,
Ours thus, is a journey, a Safari, back to our Hearts, where true JOY AND PEACE abides.

The inner Self
In this post , I wish to share , a bit of what Inner Self might sound like , why I think it's important and how we can begin to connect with it and be conscious co - creators in our lives ...

This Self is something that MARIANNE WILLIAMSON, bestselling author and 2021 US PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE, describes as being incredibly powerful. In this post, I will delve into what the Self is, why it is important, and how we can connect with it in order to live a more authentic and fulfilling life. So, let's get started!
From our formative years, as early as kindergarten days, as children singing nursery rhymes like If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands (clap clap), we learn not to express our inner self due to societal pressures and expectations. You might be asking yourself, what is the inner self? The inner self, is often referred to as the true self or authentic self, and it is a concept that is central to many philosophical and spiritual traditions. It is the part of ourselves that is not influenced by external factors or societal expectations (like the pressure to be like a particular celebrity who is adored by the society), but rather, it is the source of our deepest values, beliefs, and desires.
While the inner self is always present, it can become buried or suppressed by the demands and expectations of the outside world especially in this modern world with influence of technology and social media platforms like Tik-Tok, Instagram among others. From a young age, we are taught to conform to certain behaviors and beliefs in order to fit in and be accepted by society. Our teachers impress upon us to be like so and so, yet human beings we are created uniquely. As a result, it is easy to lose sight of our inner selves and become disconnected from our true desires and values.
However, the inner self is always there, waiting to be rediscovered and nurtured. It is the source of our creativity, compassion, and sense of purpose in life. By developing a stronger connection with our inner selves, we can gain a greater sense of authenticity and fulfillment in our lives.
There are many ways to connect with the inner self, including meditation, journaling, and practicing mindfulness. These practices can help us quiet the noise of the external world and tune into our own thoughts, feelings, and desires.
As we enter the new year of 2024, we are making resolutions that will help us live our best lives, for instance, joining the Gym or finally sticking to Daniel's Diet (fruits and vegetables only) that you have been trying for long. One resolution that can be particularly impactful is embracing our inner selves. This means taking the time to get to know and understand our true desires, values, and beliefs, and living in a way that is authentic and true to ourselves. By embracing our inner selves, we can gain a greater sense of fulfillment and purpose in life, and be more in tune with our own needs and wants. Making a commitment to connect with and nurture our inner selves can be a powerful and transformative resolution for the new year. Happy New Year, to a year of embracing our inner self.
